Can dark black pet stains on hardwood be removed, if it doesn’t sand out, can wood bleach be used?

  1. Sanding the area should remove the stains but will also remove the finish and possibly the colour from the affected areas. These would have to be refinished to protect the wood from further soiling. Bleach and other harsh cleaning products should not be used on wood floors. There are cleaning products made specifically for care and maintenance of hardwood floors that may help with your problem. Bruce has a selection of cleaners and strippers that may remove the soiling without the need for sanding. These products are available at many floor covering retailers
